Raoul Viard was born in December 21,1923. He was a self-taught artist, who learned to paint in his childhood by working and reading art books. Viard worked mostly with palette knives and used heavy impasto of brilliant colors ranging from warm ochres and reds. He is best known for his seascapes (Marines).
